@1prdpgn right on! I had a living room cam back home for a long time and loved it. Alas, can’t do that here. Have considered a bar cam tho

The wind this morning is incredible. And the las cruces public radio station just got knocked off the air.

RT @Illigitima: @jesusfreakgeek I woke up without power again today…the wind is on a roll…

Abysmal weather, tons of housework, some cooking, dreaded weekly grocery shopping, but at the end of it all, it’ll be slumber party night!:)

Cream with a bit of powdered sugar, freshly whipped, atop a freshly pulled shot of espresso is mmmmmm 🙂 (aka "Espresso con Panna")

Espresso con Panna http://flic.kr/p/7xzztp

Starting slumber party night with junk food dinner: chili dogs and fritos 🙂 gonna do triple chocolate cr_me cake later with the movie 🙂

Tonight’s slumber party night junk food entertainment: marathoning some Lexx episodes. Weird sci-fi rulez! 🙂

"I am Kai, last of the Brunnen-G." Re-animated undead assassins of His Divine Shadow rule! 😛

This is 2nd time in a few months someone says their security software says my site has malware – mine never has – how would I check this?

I assume it must be a false positive but i’m curious what might cause it. I am using several plugins, etc. on my site.

My statement on Facebook about my site allegedly containing malware, after some tests. http://bit.ly/8uXS1Y (help wanted, btw.)

Exactly! "soft focus" http://bit.ly/5ourfy this guys perfectly sums up all the near-obsessive reading i do about over-my-head coffee tech.

Sigh… Ugly day outside again. Gloomy weather always manages to seep into me.

@don_rivers we heard it, too. And, yeah, suddenly it’s sunshiny – much better.

WTF? 8 police cars, 3 kinds of fire trucks, ambulance, my block is FILLED with emergency vehicles! I don’t see smoke or anything.

Word is it was a fire. But it was quickly put out. Why it takes this many people is a comment on the way this town works. But I digress.

DAYIM!! Wtf is going on around here? House-shaking boom – kitty freaked out. Followed by a slightly less but still big boom.

RT @don_rivers: another big-ass booming sound make that two. But I also hear jets flying. Probably sonic booms

RT @tbka: That was a strange explosion

I’ve lived here a handful of years off and on so i’m used to sonic booms but double house-shakers at almost 7pm are a bit much.

(Eating a quiet dinner, candles lit, soft piano music playing, KA-BOOOOOM!!! and you wonder if the dishes will stay in the cabinet.)

I agree. RT @don_rivers: I’ve heard a lot of sonic booms over the last year(?) but these seem diff, farther and longer like an explosion

Podcasts and housework. Wesley is being a bit fussy – won’t leave kitty alone and doesn’t like me telling him to. Just another tuesday.

Ahhhh, made a caramel latte 🙂 Been so focused on shots and the unflavored mini-lattes, this is actually the first "dessert drink" i’ve had.

I do this: Raw, sliced bell peppers in collander – pour pot of freshly boiled pasta over it to drain pasta and heat peppers. Equal parts.

Also yummy: Brush a foccaccia with olive oil+garlic+whatever. Bake 10mins @400, slice into sticks.

behold Me and Wesley at the coffee bar, making a mocha for @nurseterra and a piccolo latte for myself 🙂 http://flic.kr/p/7wZhj6

FF13 ruined because of port to Xbox? here’s the allegations: http://bit.ly/8Oak4M & http://bit.ly/6nlHSU – read the articles AND comments.

I have been saying it for years, there is RARELY such a thing as a true UPgrade. Seems you always lose something. Today, it’s HandBrake.

@Thorobredz pass along my birthday greets, may she live as long as she wants and never be in want as long as she lives 🙂

Wow. It’s quite warm today. I mean for January. We have the a/c on in the car.

OMG!! I gotta’ post pics of the drinks I just made! I’ve spent most of the day at my bar, trying to really hone my skills with this machine.

Piccolo lattes 🙂 http://flic.kr/p/7warJK

@don_rivers Thanks! 🙂

Can someone die from sleep deprivation? This is cruel and unusual employment.

But TGIF! And all those others – dftba, lolwtfbbq, u down w/ opp, etc..

the very short answer to how a guy with no film-making knowledge made Primer, one of my favorite films evar. http://bit.ly/4NbI6I

Headed to Wal-mart, and grabbed a couple of those little potions at Hastings – health for her, mana for me. I use the bottles on my bar 🙂

Starting things off with Red Baron pizzas and Church of the SubGenius Hour of Slack on the ‘net radio – yup, it’s slumber party night! 🙂

Maybe my favorite thing about winter is all the pockets.

The main event: Ben & Jerry’s for me, Oreos for her, and A Fish Called Wanda on a little tv on the coffee table in the sitting room.

Ugh. Almost midnight, have to get up at 5a. This schedule they have @nurseterra on kinda sucks more than a little.

I never really desire coffee first thing in the morn – it usually takes a couple hours or more. Ugh, this morning is an exception.

i think this is the next tamper i’m gonna buy. http://bit.ly/4H05a9 my current is a bit too small but bigger than what i had before.

Grrrrr, I dropped one of our little white cappuccino bowls and the handle shattered. We use those all the time and now have three.

Recommendations… http://MovieTicketRadio.com is a fun ‘net radio station, http://Growing-Up-Geek.com is my current favorite podcast.

And, though no longer updated, the archive of 60+ episodes of the http://CoffeeGeek.com podcast is filled with indispensible info.

I’ve learned the Gaggia enough that I’m back to where I left off when my Bodum died – trying to perfect a 5min piccolo latte, incl clean up.

My piccolo latte is 2oz espresso, 2oz steamed milk. I want it to be a slurp-it-down-and-go caffeine fix for those who shun straight espresso

But I kinda’ do it macchiato style for expediency – steam milk in cup, pull shot into cup. No milk pitcher or shot glass to clean.

Finally trying it. RT @dailydemitasse: It’s coffee chat time http://bit.ly/2mN5zg along with @baristaonduty @baristadecasa @merdekacoffee

Wesley doesn’t much care for KMFDM but he really like Nine Inch Nails – the older stuff more so – like pre-Broken.
