The little local hot-air balloon thing is this weekend – gonna take wesley – really losing hope we’ll be able to go to the REAL one in abq..

The albuquerque balloon fiesta is the biggest event of the whole year for me – i’m a total fanatic… So i’m preparing for great sadness…

Just watched someone’s roof shed blow off, across the roof of the house next to it, and looked like it it the car at the next house…

had to use this today, apparently had corrupt data on my ps3… PS3 RECOVERY/SERVICE MENU – http://bit.ly/1mr7Yj
(it happened when i tried to do a ps3 backup to an external hdd and it gave error 8001002A and all i could find was advice to re-format…)
watching 1967’s Barefoot In The Park with @nurseterra (one of our faves) and brushing her hair – she’s had a rough work week already… -

Ooers! I just heard on the radio that cruces now has a Savers on n main!
@don_rivers a thrift store chain much better than goodwill… There are 2 in abq but we always hit the one in el paso and get great stuff..
The latest psp firmware update has completely screwed up the rss/podcast receiver app and i am extremely unhappy about it… -

seriously – i don’t mean to spam or nag, but, the 9/11 post has really powerful stuff you’ve never see before http://bit.ly/33vE1E
watched Leap of Faith (Steve Martin as a travelling revival faith healer) with @nurseterra and then made awesome french bread pizzas 🙂 -

Oh. My. God. I think i got mom’s dishwasher working! This will make a HUGE difference in my day! 🙂 (now if i had a garbage disposal!)
i used to make this post every year and its been awhile since i did but, this year, i have an updated version of it& mainly because i found that the message board the links went to is no longer around, but, the internet archive still has copies&
so, here is a copy/paste from the […]
I posted to my blog: My annual 9/11 post i think EVERYONE should read (v2) http://bit.ly/33vE1E
Out gathering slumber party night stuff 🙂
Ha! Hadn’t tested with the new router yet but it works! I’m logged into my PS3 at home using my PSP here at Arby’s!
Me and @nurseterra are watching a Pink concert i recorded off HDNet onto dvd a couple years ago – May do the Metallica S&M concert next 🙂
Sometimes i really love my sound system 🙂 and this is a rare occasion that music in DPLII sounds better than stereo… Not sure why…
(or i guess it’s P!nk now)
Does it get any better than two drunken idiots singing their lungs out to disposable pop songs, gobbling down peanut butter filled pretzels?

My annual 9/11 post i think EVERYONE should read (v2)
i used to make this post every year and it’s been awhile since i did but, this year, i have an updated version of it… mainly because i found that the message board the links went to is no longer around, but, the internet archive still has copies…
so, here is a copy/paste from the 2004 version of the post, now with archive links… btw, i would now add that, if you just want to get the story without reading every post, scan through the first thread, watching for the posts by user “blueseed” as they contain all the updates… on the second and third thread, the posts by “z167704” are, of course, the most relevant… ctrl+F on most browsers will let you search the page… of course, all the posts are meaningful, so, i recommend at least scanning… anyway, here’s that copy/paste:
in the Dreamcast Technical Pages message board archives (now known as the AlwaysGame.com SEGA Forum), i found this thread about a regular of their board, Thomas Vazquez, aka “z167704″, with whom they had shared many hours playing PSO, Quake, and other Dreamcast online games, turning up missing right after the september 11th attacks… in fact, they had played Daytona USA with him the night before…
it all makes for a rather long read, but, this is some heart-wrenching, unbelievable stuff and there is not exactly a happy ending here…
i think the whole ordeal is relevant to everyone…
it all starts with this thread
october 12th, aftermath and more of what the future may be like
and you could have a look at this
and this all has to do with a subject i yell about quite a bit…
the people who say that we should all “get off the internet and go out and meet some REAL people†or that you do not have “real†relationships on the internet…tell THESE people about “real†and how these are not really “real people†they know and how they don’t really have “real relationships†between each other…
i also wanted to add something new that i find quite gripping…
in 2006, a couple released their own home video of the attacks from a breathtaking, but, of course, horrifying perspective… i don’t live in new york, so i don’t know where “41 River Terrace, the tallest building in Battery Park City North, about 500 yards northwest of ground zero” is (the location they give on their site where the video is hosted), but, it is a perfect view to see the entire nightmare unfold – this is unlike any video i have ever seen and odds are you have never seen it, either… most people have not, for some reason…
be sure to check out the FAQ on that page, as well…
(btw, i have a fairly high-quality conversion of this video i made for my psp and it should work on most small media devices – if you are interested in a copy, contact me using the info at the top of the right sidebar of this page…) -

Ah, the Dreamcast – 10 years ago today.. Got the Planetweb v3 web browser? Check the credits – yup, i’m in there – my little claim to fame..
IGN’s History of Dreamcast http://bit.ly/14i40a
(doesn’t mention it was THE FIRST online out-of-the-box console…)
9.9.99 – A Dreamcast Memorial from 1UP.com http://tinyurl.com/nhhty4
i played hundreds of hours of Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast as well as Quake 3 Arena – i wouldn’t bother playing either of those offline
(and, btw, happy bday, @1prdpgn, too 😛 )
whoa – seems i found that video out of context from a rather impressive article on IGN – http://retro.ign.com/articles/102/1021947p1.html
Posted @jesusfreakgeek Thank you!
Coffee.. How does it go? ‘some like it hot, some like it cold, some like it in the pot [six hours] old’? Eww! But i’m short of time 😛
@lamycheese ah, well thanks for clearing that up… -

best video i’ve seen showing the skimming method i’ve been loving with french press pot coffee http://bit.ly/12ttoa
@Jaeckle i’ve been curious about the aeropress for quite a while – have heard some good things – just hadn’t gotten to it yet…
Blargh… They’re playing opera on my local classical radio station… Time for http://streamingsoundtracks.com on my PSP, i guess…
Grrrrrr, i just broke one of my (mom’s) most-used baking dishes!! (and sliced my finger open…)
Requiem for a Dream blu-ray is only $16 🙂 Lion’s Gate puts out the least expensive blu-rays on the market by several dollars every time…
Other great Lion’sGate blu-rays i own and recommend (each less than $20) = Crash (2004, not the, uh, other one), Reservoir Dogs, The Descent
Wonders where @drivers99 went… He had mentioned changing his name but his whole account is suddenly gone…
@laeryg i was thinking about you not more than an hour ago and how you never twitter anymore… (and @racquelmorris…)
( @laeryg and i was trying to recite the ‘feather on my nose’ poem to myself while i cooked dinner but couldn’t remember it all 😛 )
Dinner was great, iidssm 🙂 i used some leftovers, but did wheat linguine this time and made the breadsticks thinner, kinda’ crunchy…
I want to take a cooking class… Or maybe make a foodie friend – i’ll teach them all i know about coffee and they’ll teach me cooking 🙂
playing Final Fantasy XII while @nurseterra paints my toenails for the last time – i don’t bother when it’s not sandals weather…
@Thorobredz well, i got a lot of useful info from ya’ 🙂
