In our chairs, under blankets, watching the mass ascension on the kob.com stream… (we don’t have tv/cable/satellite – weird, i know…)
(and it’s not a religious thing – it’s just that if we had broadcast tv, i’d get nothing done. Internet alone, i can waste an entire day.)
@racquelmorris good on ya’ 🙂 and welcome back (again) 🙂
(and with a couple dozen video games and countless movies, we have no lack of ‘time vampires’…)
Well, it looks like we had the perfect day – today, the winds seem to be blowing the balloons away to the north/nw as soon as they launch.
Talking to billy in his garage yesterday, i came to realize that in many ways, my coffee bar is to me what a garage/shop is to most guys…
I’ve never made anything from my coffee bar for wesley but with breakfast i made him a caramel dark chocolate steamer and he is in love 🙂
It is small and no coffee but i put it in one of the cups he always sees us use so, to him, he’s enjoying his first coffee with us 🙂

We are in the car, on our way to balloon fiesta. I managed 2 hours of sleep, she got 6. God is good, he got us up. Let’s do this…

Very sad to be leaving abq so soon. But a rushed mass-ascension-or-bust, third-time’s-the-charm trip was all we could manage. Long story..
(but we had a singularly wonderful time! 🙂 and still have a day off tomorrow 😉 )

@balloonfiesta balloonfiesta.com says mass ascension is at 8am – i could swear it’s been 7am (sunrise) the handful of years i’ve been going?
Gathering and packing stuff for the trip to balloon fiesta… Want to leave shortly after @nurseterra gets off work…
(we got a last minute invite to stay with dear friends, the Lockmans… But, leaving saturday afternoon so it won’t be a long visit…)
Ok, gotta’ grab a quick bite to eat and we’re on our way to abq…
