Sipping a latte. Won’t be long until it’s too warm to want hot coffee at all. Love iced drinks but they aren’t nearly as fun to make.

Thursday. High caffeine day. This time we only got 5 hours of sleep. Ten years ago – heck, five! – that was much less unpleasant to do.

Netflix just notified me that the streaming disc for mom’s Wii will be here saturday!! Woo hoo!! 🙂

Adjusted the OPV in my Gaggia another 3/4 turn. I THINK the first adjustment made a difference and made me wanna turn it some more.

There’s a four AM now, too? They asked Terra to come in an hour early. The morning news isn’t even on yet – classical is still on!

Soo, Terra works at a nursing home, I am at home with housework/wesley/mom — she takes care of the residents, I take care of the residence.

So jealous of all this travelling @don_rivers and @1prdpgn are getting to do.

(Btw, @1prdpgn, one of my fave disc golf courses in the country is in Farmington. The front 9 is on pretty much just solid rock.)

So, Toy Story is on Blu-Ray today. Whenever I get it I’ll have all disc-based releases – already have LaserDisc (all 3 versions), DVD, UMD.

(Toy Story trivia: for a long time, LaserDisc was the only DTS release & the DVD commentary is just copied from LD, released years before.)

(ftm, the Toy Story LaserDisc box set is still the only way to see the original, un-altered version of the 1989 Pixar short "Knickknack".)

A shipment of kreteks showing up at the door two days earlier than expected is definitely a day-brightener 🙂

@homebarista caveat: that was many years ago, those sites may suck now. BUT, I still watch avsforum for PS3 info and it’s still great stuff.

A fairly reliable formula could probably be devised with which one could estimate how many coffees I’ve had by how often I twitter 😛

Got really bold/dumb and opened my Gaggia to investigate a leak I heard. Fixed it and went ahead and risked OPV mod – one turn. We’ll see.

Well, some say one turn of the Gaggia OPV should be about 2 bars pressure difference but so far, I don’t see a drastic difference. Hmm…

I have no gauge, but this machine is clearly adjusted for those espresso pod things – shots are often very bubbly, which wrecks the crema.

I’ll give it a couple days and, if not satisfied, i’ll turn it down more. Hey, i’ve learned tamp, grind, etc. by in-cup results only.
