We’re giving It’s Alive on MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs a try. We’ve had a couple of these vids fail on previous tries.

I guess I didn’t realize some people think internet radio is the same as satellite radio. The XM in your car is not internet radio.

Got Dark Kingdoms from GameStop for simple game we can all play together. Now Walmart for some dinner to cook together tonight. And vino 🙂

Wesley got totally wore out. Had to carry him through walmart. He says he needs to go on a charger. Ya’ know, like his PSP or a cell phone.

Btw, Wesley has had a blast watching the space mission on NASATV the last few days. He especially loves watching astronauts float around.

The social features of White Knight Chronicles are outstanding. I have finally found something that rivals my Dreamcast PSO days.

I have successfully adapted a metal filter to the siphon pot. I say the cloth filter absorbs more of the coffee oils than I prefer.

The siphon coffee I made with the metal moka filter pretty much tastes like press – a suspicion I’d had. But, it was more fun to make 😉

Caveat: I am drinking it iced and did not try it hot yet. But, I think I’d be unable to decide in a blind taste test between this and press.

While the clean, clear look of siphon coffee is pleasing to the eye, it also *tastes* very clean. Too clean for my taste.

And for our beloved Irish coffee, siphon just isn’t the same – press or moka softens the whiskey bite and brings out all the best flavors.

Wow. The place at the mall that sells e-cigs is as bad as usual – $25 for 10mL bottle, $200 for non-usb eGo starter kit, etc.. AVOID.

I’ve now seen every local source for e-cigs and e-cig stuff and they are all rip-offs. Do not do it. Ask me, I’ll tell you how to proceed.

Not to mention they have little knowledge of their poduct. One place didn’t know what a cartomizer is, mall gall didn’t grock PG vs. VG.

E-cigs are the latest get-rich-quick scheme. Worst products, highest price. From what I’ve seen, never buy in person – online is only way.

@don_rivers The Stand is epic, the mini-series is the best King-to-film adaptation Ive seen. Dvd has great commentary. I even have the LD 🙂

Would you believe even the photo management app on the PS3 is tied into PSN?? Finally works again.

Glad I started at it early – it’s been over an hour and the email I need to activate Wesley’s PSN account still hasn’t arrived.

Ok, I’ve successfully connected to Free Realms. Now I just need the email for Wesley’s account. He’ll wake any minute now.

Terra’s account is fully functional. The plan is Wesley plays Free Realms until she gets home, then she plays Free Realms until she drops 🙂

@don_rivers. The Stand (either version), It, Misery, the first three Dark Tower books – I vouch for those. (I think I’ve read 13 of his.)

@don_rivers There’s others I liked but those I love. And the genres are assorted on those. Fantasy, supernatural horror, mind-bender, etc.

@don_rivers King is about what you’d expect. He’s no Clive Barker (I loved Great and Secret Show) but he’s great just the same.

NO!NO!!NO!!! It WAS my fault all along! It was gmail filter to put PSN purchases in a certain folder and the pw reset came from that addy!

So, after Wesley levelled the heck out of the driving jobs on my character, he is now back home on his own Free Realms account 🙂

I had been checking spam folder, just in case. It just occured to me I had that psn purchases filter set up. Sheesh.

I see Wesley’s in-game kitty is as upset as mine is. Hasn’t eaten, played, been brushed/bathed, whatever in 24 days or more.

I got past the beginning of White Knight Chronicles and can now play the online. When PSN comes back, that is. Now more antsy than before.

Watching Garden State in HD on Vudu. This is "our" movie. I always call it a love story for our generation. It does it all perfectly.

Garden State is practically a period piece – a snapshot of its time. The characters, settings, situations, dialogue – it gets it all.

And the casting is exquisite. Natalie Portman’s finest hour, imntbho. And her last innocent role, it seems.

Uh, Netflix yanked the Friday the 13th movies when we weren’t looking. Only Jason X and Jason Goes to Hell remain. So, the choice is made.

Uhmmm, hmm. Netflix on PS3 isn’t working. You can browse but it keeps insisting on PSN login to play something. I’ll check again later.

Makes me think something is being changed about how psn and netflix interact. It also wanted my netflix login, which it never does.

It may end up being a Joe Bob Briggs spn after all. Or maybe marathon some Dark Skies I have on vhs. Or maybe a Vudu $2 for 2 nights deal.
