So, the idiots sheduled her to start working 12s THIS WEEKEND! Her work week will end on Monday after 7 straight days, nearly 70 hours!

And this is Terra’s birthday weekend, too. And THEN she is on four 12s a week. Unbelievable. That place is so screwed up.

Just figured out that because I always have a tab open to Fcebook it always shows me online though I am in front of the computer very little

And, btw, I am one of those always-has-fifty-tabs-open people and maybe actually click that tab like once a week at most.

I have a barely controllable urge to smash crockery.

Oops. Wesley’s PSP is full! I added a bunch of Super Why! – a PBS show that is really quickly teaching him beginning reading stuff.

Wesley and his PSP http://flic.kr/p/7XvWf8

Housework, listening to C.S. Lewis. Got some audio of his stuff I’ve never read/heard before.

@don_rivers Yeah, I don’t know of a way to properly steam milk without an actual steam wand. Never heard anything good about other methods.

A "cappuccino" from a local cafe http://flic.kr/p/7XgE4K

@don_rivers That’s what I love to hear 🙂

EX ALERT!!! (at Wal-Mart)

Yeah, it’s been really, unusually bad outside. RT @PNMtalk: We’re working 200 separate outages in #NM. #NMSTORM #WINDAGEDDON

Baking coffee cake in coffee cups and making cappuccinos in (mostly) matching cups. If it comes out good, maybe i’ll post a pic.

The Intelligentsia Black Cat Classic Espresso Blend should be at its prime today and the next couple days 🙂 running very low, though 🙁

meh, could have been better, but, here it is… Cappuccinos and coffee cake, baked in capp cups http://flic.kr/p/7X3Z79

.@1prdpgn it occurred to me that we both had names that not only identified our faith but our passion for it – PROUD Pagan, Jesus FREAK.

But I have no regret – I want to change all my online accounts to my actual name. Seems I become more against online anonymity everyday.

On ReadItLaterList.com, I actually joined early enough that my username is just Christopher. I think that’s the only one, though.

Must be nice to have a short name like Don Rivers or Greg Fultz. Christopher Cornelius is lotsa’ letters. (And I’ve come to despise "Chris")

Terra is snarling because she hates Wednesdays http://flic.kr/p/7X5yfU

Final Fantasy XIII $30 at Kmart May 4th-10th – AVS Forum http://bit.ly/czqg58 (and Bayonetta. BUT i don’t know if any of this is confirmed)

Sure enough, some choc syrup in bottom of a capp bowl, microwave a few seconds, pour in steam milk – works like latte art. Hadn’t tried it.

BLASPHEMY!! RT@streamingsoon: You can’t stream it yet but The Descent 2 is an awesome film. Much better than the first: http://bit.ly/9qwcxF

So glad only Wesley saw my Flashdance (What a Feeling) recreation. Gotta’ stop listening to these "hits from the movies" net radio stations.

ok, one more pic and that’s it, I promise 😛 first attempt, pouring hot chocolate like latte art http://flic.kr/p/7X77Tr

So, word came down that they’re going back to 12-hour days at Terra’s job starting next week. It’s not all bad but not all good either.

Picked up some decent little 5oz bowl-shaped cups – great for single cappuccinos. Made of cheap (and kinda’ ugly) glass but perfect size.

Ok, good idea or not, @jesusfreakgeek is now @ABQChristopher. I’ve done all I know to make sure you don’t have to change or do anything.

The only available variation on my name was CBCornelius and, blech. But, Albuquerque is where I call home, so, it was the best choice I had.

I read up tips/issues re changing twitter names and therefore immediately made an account with my previous name with a link to my new name.

Undoubtedly there will be weird stuff here and there at first between twitter and interlinked accounts (FB,Flickr, etc.) – i’m working on it.

Washington Park Pool demolition http://bit.ly/aVq1hV odd memory: cussed in front of my brother for the first time here when we were kids

FINALLY a new video! Intelligentsia Cappuccino http://bit.ly/cVyFRX (and their previous two vids (Syphon and Espresso) are also must-see!)

@don_rivers After talking to me?? Curious you should put it that way. The way I remember it, you didn’t get much of a chance to talk 😀

@don_rivers But, yeah, that’s what it’s supposed to look like. When you’re a pro with an espresso machine that cost five digits 😛

I made chili dogs for dinner. Yeah, really healthy. Anyone want the recipe? 😛

Watching Freaks & Geeks ep14 – Dead Dogs & Gym Teachers. We had a sudden Fs&Gs urge and chose a random one. Unquestionably TV at its best.

i DESPISE networking stuff. And I despise dad’s computer. Been on this all day and have no clue what i’m doing. I think it’s just broke.

(Should have known that a day that starts with chocolate milk spilled on my leather couch doesn’t have much hope of turning out good.)

Oh boy. "CMOS Checksum Error" sounds very ominous.

All day working on a computer sucks. I’m almost ready to initiate Plan B: Find a brick wall to bang my head against for awhile.

How cool is it to whip out a cell phone with Netflix app, search for a movie, add to InstantWatch, fire up the PS3 Netflix app and hit play?

(in this case, the "impulse watch" movie was 1981’s Arthur and, sure enough, there it was available for streaming – in HD no less.)

RT Great discgolf course! Played my 1st games there when I was a teen @dawsonrussell: I’m at Veterans park (Arlington).http://4sq.com/arnbTa

Having coffee and caffeine-fueled conversation with @nurseterra and @don_rivers. If you need an afternoon coffee, come join us 🙂

Had a great time with @don_rivers – tried cappuccinos with both beans and he even tried a straight espresso shot. My kinda’ guest 😉

Making dinner with Wesley, Terra’s in the living room playing Final Fantasy 13 – this has been a great weekend and we REALLY needed one 🙂

Really think i’m gonna change my twitter name to MY NAME but all variations (but 1) are taken – christopherc, ccornelius, even christopherbc

(i’m not gonna tweet the one available variation yet in case there’s some sort of bot or vile person or something that squats twitter names)

Really been thinking of doing away with all ‘net nicknames and just using some variation on my real name – change my twitter name and all.

Hate to say this, but Ross isn’t what it used to be. Used to be able to get demitasses, cool press pots, and unique kitchen stuff. No more:(

@dailydemitasse I am forced (for now) to live in this tiny town – have to drive over an hour to get to a town with Ross & no TJ Maxx in NM.

Well, great! The morning starts with BSOD and then won’t boot up. I think it’s the power supply. It’s my late dad’s often errant computer.

Vacuumed/blew out the whole computer, but still – power comes on for a second, then dies. I think I have another power supply somewhere.

.@don_rivers bake something that goes good with cappuccinos and we’ll try out my new reputedly world-class beans. (they’ll be here today!)

"Questions… Morphology, longevity, incept dates." Today the commentary for the workprint version of Blade Runner accompanies my chores.

A while back, mom, Terra, and I took a few days to watch all five versions of Blade Runner, incl. three in one night! We’re hardcore! 😉

And, speaking of my dad – he’s the one who bought me the Blade Runner brief case bluray uber-boxset thing. It’s ultimate epic awesomeness 🙂

My first-ever batch of pro-quality coffee beans are here!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 somebody come over and try ’em with me!!! (@dianeoturner @don_rivers)

Apparently Twitter is having hiccups – i’m just now getting some tweets and direct messages that were sent quite awhile ago.

Terra loves kitty, kitty loves Terra http://flic.kr/p/7VKrWx

@DianeOTurner Sorry today didn’t work out – no one else made it either 🙁 – but whatcha’ doing sunday afternoon?

.@don_rivers My insidious plot is to trade my coffee knowledge to @DianeOTurner for her cooking knowledge. ;P

Ok, our slumber party night begins with Blake’s Lotaburgers 🙂

Living room cleared, blankets & pillows on the floor, Netflix loaded – time for junk food and junk food movie – ah, slumber party night 🙂

An SPN movie is only as good as the junk food eaten while watching it so i’m glad I have Ben&Jerry’s cuz the movie is House of 1,000 Corpses

Oh, so of course House of 1,000 Corpses streams through in glorious, sparkling 720p. HD Netflix streaming rarely works for us.

A tale told by an – wait, actually there wasn’t much of a tale. Full of blood and screaming; signifying nothing 😛 (apologies to The Bard)

Well, I guess there was a narrative until the cops were killed. Then, it was the horror(?) equivalent of Dave Bowman entering the Monolith.

I expected scary. This was more like seeing Rob Zombie’s reflection in the lens the whole time, winking to us as he references genre flicks.

Jack Nicholson is 73 today. Dayim.

Did we ever agree how to refer to the decade of 2000 to 2009? To call it "the two thousands" obviously just won’t work.

We have "the eighties", "the thirties", maybe with a "nineteen" in the middle – we’re in "the tens" or "twenty tens", but what of 2000-2009?

Seemed no one was in a hurry to resurrect "aught", so "the twenty ohs"? "Twenty zeros"? (Sub ‘two thousand’ for ‘twenty’ if so inclined).

Indonesia Takes US Kretek Ban to World Trade Body – The Jakarta Globe http://bit.ly/a9Uuop

So great to be not sick! 🙂 Getting a lot done today and listening to the commentary for The Stand mini-series – best King adaptation ever.

Btw, Handbrake is the only (free) software I know that allows you to create multi audio track video files for the PSP or whatever device.

So I use Handbrake to rip DVDs to PSP/iPod/whatever files with multi-audio so you can switch between the original audio or commentary(ies).

Nice! According to @streamingsoon, AMELIE will be available streaming on Netflix soon. Love that one, but uh, does Netflix have subs?

Amelie really needs a Bluray release. It’s a french fantasy/romance sort of thing by the guy who did Delicatessen and City of Lost Children.

Btw, Amelie is a ‘see also’ for Moulin Rouge – takes place in the same areas of Paris and so you see several of the same locations in both.

.@don_rivers ok, I’ve seen talk about Netflix bringing subs someday so I guess they mean optional and the current subs are burned in.

.@don_rivers Terra found a season of CSI had no audio at all, so yeah, seems it’s not all perfected.

Sitting at my bar, hurriedly eating leftover cottage pie. Still a lot of housework to do and running out of time.

Caffeine’s only failing is that though it can speed me up it cannot slow time around me. I hope someone somewhere is working on this.

At least SOMEONE gets use from my ruined chair 🙂 http://flic.kr/p/7Vkz9X

RT @streamingsoon: @jesusfreakgeek I’m sure for Amelie it’ll be embedded in the stream, no matter how you watch it. Wonderful film.

Well, I got a lot done today – almost caught up from everyone having been sick, one after another (ending with me), that kept me so busy.

Wednesdays are Terra’s night shift day, and I’m always most productive from afternoon on, so Wednesday is my catch-up and big projects day.

(uh, of course, Thursday means back to getting up at 5am, so, we get very little sleep since she doesn’t get home until usually 11pm or so.)

RT @tbka: Lost Cat!?!? Anyone from Alamogordo missing or know someone missing a little gray cat we found 1 & turn it into the shelter.

mentioned this on FB – I wrote it a year ago. Blog post: twitter is like a text webcam http://bit.ly/9RnZK1 prob most hit page on my site.
