Well, there goes my phone again. Doing all the things it did before – which led to me doing a factory reset. Must figure this out.

Really considering replacing my phone. Really want to stay with a Windows phone. Very few free choices from Verizon, though.

While it was fairly quick, surgery on a PSP to replace the headphone module is frustrating – I don’t recommend it.

Hearing my jr high best friend on the radio. Knew him the second I heard him, though there’s just barely a trace of his voice 20 years ago.

@don_rivers went through the same phase years ago (first two Enigma albums ad inifinitum) and was very disappointed in 3rd when it came out.

Watching FinalFantasyRadio on ustream, logged into the chat room on an irc client on my phone. I’m leet like that!

Terra off, wal-mart day, got Toy Story 2 blu-ray from Netflix so Terra and Wesley can see it (1st time) so we can go see TS3 tomorrow(ish).

Final Fantasy Radio on ustream/justin.tv is great! Like a flashback to last summer’s (?) SpeedGamers FF charity marathon I got addicted to.

Totally a new geek low for us! Watching "Final Fantasy Real" – a german FF cosplay movie sort of thing showing as an interstitial on FFR.

Wal-mart. Good times.

Time to make the donuts

Felt like some iced coffee this morn but ran a little short so I added a shot of espresso for an iced red eye. It’s actually really good 🙂

When I launch Qik on my phone, this msg auto-posts – I am either broadcasting live or hit it by accident http://qik.ly/BfJIX

Qik – Christopher’s Current Life by christopher cornelius http://qik.ly/BfJns

yeah, I’m trying out Qik and the twitter integration – hope it doesn’t get too annoyingly repetitive.

so far, either my phone or coverage or the network here in Alamogordo is way too lame for anything like live video – the delay is massive.

I’m broadcasting live but it’s probably nothing interesting, just playing around with this Qik app. http://qik.ly/BfKQb

ok, now trying live Qik video from my phone at the lowest possible quality settings to see how it goes http://qik.com/ABQChristopher

(btw, it’s just Wesley playing in the sitting room, but it will work as a test.) #qik

grrrrr, whenever i get a msg to my phone, it kills the stream. i ASSUME it finalizes that recording, not continues if i’m fast enough.

for some reason it isn’t all-or-nothing live. it wants to record and then upload the recording when i just want it on or off.

so, it seems Qik on my phone is BOOOOOO!!!!!! guess I’ll try ustream and a webcam if i ever have a working computer again 😛

Coffee for Wesley and I in my new birthday cups! 🙂 http://flic.kr/p/8cxGxH

Cappuccino in ugly glass cup 😛 http://flic.kr/p/8c1QvW

Oops. The link to the pic I just accidentally twittered will work now.

Wesley and I are re-arranging his room.

Been listening to Enigma’s trilogy of first albums today. First time in years. Keeps making me think "Cirque du Soleil for the ears".

RT @NurseTerra: I finished Final Fantasy X!!!!! Over 100 hours and I’m done!!! Not in the same sitting of course. 2 years in the making

now it’s the headphone jack in @nurseterra‘s PSP – only one chan coming thru. And Sony buried it deep in there, not sure I want to risk it.

On the 1st gen PSP, hphone jack, wifi card, card reader are all one board. Not so on later models, so the part replace is allegedly simpler.

But I don’t have a perfect record when it comes to successful hardware fixes so i’m a little nervous. Especially since it’s not my PSP.

I assume her headphone problem is probably just a bent contact I can fix but i’d rather have a replacement in hand before I open it.

@don_rivers I blush to admit Ive somehow never tried to solder and "Terra, I’m gonna learn to solder on your PSP" prob won’t go over well 😛

@don_rivers my money says it’s a bent contact – the problm started with a plug (to the truck stereo) that she says resisted when put in/out.

@don_rivers BUT her power jack shows signs of broken board contact, too, so perhaps they both require gentler handling than they’ve had.

I went from rarely gaming to being torn between Tomb Raider Underworld, Dead Space, Valkyria Chronicles, and Final Fantasy IX. It’s a phase.

And playing Gauntlet Legends (on Dreamcast) with Wesley has been a lotta’ fun. Hoping to get Mom and @NurseTerra to join in 🙂

Hm. Wal-mart has DVD+Blu combo packs of the first two Toy Story’s for $20 each BUT they are in DVD cases.

watched 9 – it was very impressive.

I care nothing for sports but they are offering a free weekend of the PS3 MLB.tv app so I’m having a look and it is pretty amazing.

This MLB.tv app is the sort of thing the PS3 needs A LOT more of. adhocParty, Photo Gallery, very good video chat, now this – a good start.

PS3 video chat is a miracle at xmas – window between our living room and that of my brother and his fam so mom can see gkids open presents.

Our living-room-to-living-room video link for Xmas looks a little something like this http://youtube.com/watch?v=rxIecFKIEuI (bad phone vid)

Just discovered my voice mail has been screwed up for what must be weeks – it doesn’t notify me I have msgs so I just found a bunch. Grrr.

Another day my cups haven’t arrived 🙁 I didn’t know the cheapest shipping meant no tracking number.

May or may not go see Toy Story 3 today. Will eventually even though I swore I wouldn’t. Feels like a betrayal. But, it’ll be fun.

Toy Story 3 represents years of controversy – Disney basically stealing it, saying they’d make it with or without Pixar – that’s just wrong.

I’m a huge Pixar fan and have been pissed for years Disney forcing Pixar to help them. Yeah, Pixar was hungry and signed away their rights.

If i’m not mistaken, this is the first Pixar film not written by anyone from Pixar – at least it’s a Pixar director (Unkrich (TS2, Nemo)).

At one point, Disney fully took over Toy Story 3 and wouldn’t even let Pixar be involved. Those two need to break up and not make up again.

See, Disney learned great tricks from Pixar and started doing their own in-house stuff (eg. Bolt) and was gonna ditch Pixar for good.

If Pixar wasn’t back on board, i’d want to full-on boycott TS3 – since they’re back in, i’ll just have low expectations.

And look at Ebert’s review(s) of TS3 – even he says it lacks what PIXAR has always done with Toy Story! (Ok, rant ends here – I promise.)

(someone go ahead and say I didn’t gripe when they "kicked Roddenberry upstairs" starting with ST2:TWoK – hey I was too young to understand)

(Btw, that’s not me at my worst – I spent DAYS researching and creating this post in ’04 about Freaks & Geeks http://tinyurl.com/28x67hc )

The surgery was a success and my white PSP lives again! 🙂 Now I can give Mom back her spare silver one – after I replace the part I took 😛

(uh, to clarify, Mom gave me one of her spare PSPs to replace mine or use for parts or whatever. I get to give it back as I’d hoped.)

Trying Opera Mobile and Opera Mini on my phone. Somehow have never gotten around to it. So far, pretty impressed.

I pray that I forgive instantly and without favoritism. http://read.ly/Prov17.9.NLT
