@don_rivers I love Rez – same creators as SC5. Rez was Dreamcast first (google "trance vibrator" for a larf), then ps2, later Rez HD on XBox
Sequel to Rez? Kewl. (attn @don_rivers) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_of_Eden (now please give us Space Channel 5 pt3!!)
The only thing I beg of Space Channel 5, pt 3 (aside from its creation in the first place) is a tango scene! π (and maybe a wedding scene)
Chili dogs, Fritos, and a Coppola Malbec π It actually pairs really well.
My hair’s shaggy enough now that I could be The Dude for halloween if I wanted an easiest-costume-ever cop out. But, I’d rather Ink or Kai.
Note to self: come up with a beeper and a bowling ball bag before october. (Easier than the list of stuff required to dress up as The Jerk.)

Taco Bell (trying the cheesy beefy burrito!), cream soda, old Art Bell show via ‘net radio – slumber party night has begun π
Make that, uh… *reading the wrapper * …Crunchy Beefy Burrito. Good times. Btw, the new Fire-Roasted sauce tastes like mexi-bbq sauce.
Tried the vacpot method I see the Japanese pros do and combining with Knickers Irish Cream. Yum! Lovin’ this Art Bell open lines from 1998.
Terra has chosen Candyman for tonight’s junk food flick. The oven timer just told us the brownies are done, so it’s about show time π
The little dessert plates we got that match our coffee cups and saucers are great for things like brownies but on spn, we eat from the pan!
Fracking hell!!! Washing my siphon pot and there’s a crack in the pot. No idea how/when that happened. π π π π π π

I’ve been Tweeting since May 09, 2008 (1030 days). How about you? – http://HowLongOnTwitter.com
For under $25, I can replace (w/ minor upgrade) the vacpot big enough for company. Or for $100, nice tabletop but small, only she and I.
neverending home specialty coffee decision – practical, serves many vs. nicer, small quantity. Presses are easy – everyone gets their own π
We keep meaning to buy a nice/cute/unique 12ish oz. press pot, whenever we see one, until we have a decent little varied collection.
Ever since I got my vacpot for xmas, I have loved more and more the idea of a small tabletop (butane burner) model – intimate coffee ritual
Perfect example of the kind of siphon pot we want http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa3HjN-Byco Btw, that’s a very enviable home coffee bar. -

Once again thinking about how much of my life is like a Rube Goldberg machine.
I don’t think I have used my electric grinder since I got my hand grinder – I like the QC of feeling/smelling every bean being ground.
Uh, didn’t occur to me until I hit send but I guess that last tweet was unintentionally humorously related to the one before π
"Hand ground, hand pulled, hands down." Don’t remember who says that one. (uh, it’s just a quote – my Gagga is a semi-auto, not a manual.)
I’ve been loving this manual brew method renaissance in my life the last few months but I’m still uncertain about the recent pourover trend.
I’m not thinking pourover is just a fad – just not as interesting to me as siphon and press. My vacpot and I are still in a honeymoon phase.
I have unquestionably learned the truth of "If you don’t understand manual brew methods, how can you possibly understand automatic methods?"
Yes, full immersion is the b…..Oh my, is that really the time?? Nevermind, gotta take off my barista apron and put on my housewife apron!
Pardon my incoherence – I was up all night, rending my clothes and shaving my head after I heard the Blade Runner news.

Building a franchise around Blade Runner is like building an amusement park around The Smithsonian.
Yeah, it warrants a blog post… http://bit.ly/eoINbo Why I am so against a Blade Runner franchise – Christopher’s Lives (v5.4)
Twitter is my sonic boom seismograph. I hear a boom, then my phone tweets as locals I follow mention it. That last was big – a 5 tweet’er.

A quick rant on why I am so against a Blade Runner franchise
This is a comment I posted on Facebook that I’ll lazily paste here, rather than write an expansion.
I began by posting this to Twitter: “Building a franchise around Blade Runner is like building an amusement park around The Smithsonian.”And then, here is what I followed up with on Facebook…
It’s what I’ve seen happen to Alien.
The franchise lessened the cultural significance and artistic legacy of the original and ended up *obscuring* it from the mainstream, in a sense. The “It gets more people to see it that otherwise wouldn’t have.” argument becomes meaningless at some point when the work is caused to be compared to what are essentially just derivative works that in no way reflect – let alone deepen – the artist’s original intent and therefore the original ends up a “see also” and gets buried under stale popcorn.
My ex-wife and I went to the theatrical re-release of Alien in ’03 and were stunned when we were two of only four people in the theater. Yet, the vapid comedy/action/horror/whatever no one remembers now was packed. I had an urge to go into the lobby, shouting “What the hell is WRONG with you people??!!!”. But, I already knew, even then, what the most common answer would be. Something like “Alien? Yeah, it’s ok. The fourth one was really cool! The first was tame compared to the rest, though.” The amusement park drew them in and they may have had fun, but amusement park crowds care little for much beyond “Yeah, that one part that had that naked chick that got impaled by that alien’s tail? Huh huh, yeah, that was cool.” And an artist who made the mistake of signing a contract many years ago ends up screaming “But you are missing my point!!” and a masterpiece of atmosphere, suspense and design only exists in popular mainstream consciousness because it’s part of a canon that you’ll find under “Action, horror, sci-fi”.
In this – as in so many other cases – it would be better off a forgotten classic that the uninitiated could then be introduced to with no pre-conceived (and ill-fitting) expectations.
…
Whoa. I think I’ve had a liiiittle too much coffee ;PΓ
