Having really good BLT (the best!) while Terra plays Free Realms. Been SO looking forward to this all day.

All my acting aspirations died the day I woke up and realized "I’m too old to play Annie". Haven’t crept the boards since.

Found a great (so far) kids net radio. Lots of Animaniacs, songs from Disney movies, stuff I know from DrD http://amazingtroy.com/shout.html

My only raised eyebrow so far was the old Cows with Guns song, which does have that one line but it’s hardly obscene, just uh, tmi 😛

Ok, any kids radio station that plays Me First and the Gimme Gimmes is my kind of kids radio station!

Wesley knows the steps to make siphon, press, espresso (and cappuccino), and we’re learning moka. One day, I will let him try it.

Press is hands on with near-boiling water, moka is stovetop, as is siphon/vac. I guess espresso is the safest for a child.

Though, otoh, he could do all the press steps but pour the water if we don’t do the scoop method. He already likes pressing the pots anyway.

Wesley will be the youngest World Barista Champion. At this rate, he’ll be able to make all kinds of coffee before he’s ever even tasted it.

With his coffee & cooking skills, we’ll be borrowing money from Wesley someday. If all else fails, he’ll make someone a great little wife 😛

Oh yeah. Teaching Wesley the YMCA dance 😛

Ok, it’s soaked long enough. Time to scrub up this moka pot and see what I can make with it.

This is the best moka coffee I’ve ever made but that isn’t saying much. Still kinda’ burnt. No burnt rubber taste like my first pot, though.

The full thickness and richness of moka coffee (moreso than press, not quite espresso) makes me think it would be perfect for iced coffee.

For the moka pot I ground much coarser than espresso, but considerably finer than I usually do for siphon. Just feeling around in the dark.

I can see why the Italians do equal parts moka coffee and hot milk (at breakfast). It’d probably be awesome. I’ll have to try it asap.

Well, on Netflix, I’m seeing all of Twin Peaks (HD 5.1!), two seasons (?!) of Twilight Zone, but zero Star Trek yet.

So this is what it’s like to a be a disgruntled parent… Free Realms just told Wesley he can’t fish anymore unless he pays for membership!

Apparently, you can’t hit level 5 on any job unless you pay. It’s not terribly expensive – but the subscription is only for one person.

Since everyone in this house is interested in Free Realms, my plan was see who stuck with it before we start buying any subscriptions.

Ok, Wesley got a 3 month membership for $13. If he keeps playing, we’ll negotiate his contract renewal when expiration time comes.

And I keep forgetting to mention that Glee is now on Netflix IW. I’ve high hopes. Seems the only people who like it are people I like 🙂

So now Wesley is the first to get to play the Pirate ship-to-ship combat game or whatever it is – it’s a members-only game.

Btw, I haven’t fully tested it yet (by playing a movie) but I THINK you can get the 99c VUDU movie today and watch it later – within 30 days

And should I be excited that Sons of Anarchy is on NetflixIW now? It rings a bell like I’ve heard great things about it here and there.

Oh noes. So, there’s a Netflix Queue limit. And we’ve hit it.

Mmkay, I just wiped the Netflix disc slate clean, save very few.

@MicheleSims1 heh, uh, 500 *blush*. Combined between disc & instant queues. But, turned out a lot of those were multi-disc sets for tv etc.

So far in Free Realms, Wesley loves fishing, kart racing (wait’ll he tries demolition derby!), and combat – he’s already a level 2 ninja!

Wesley just levelled up another job. He’s now a level 2 fisherman. #freerealms #ps3

One whimsical choice on my part and now the consequences are … Wesley Twinklemeadows and Terra Twinklemeadows. One big FABULOUS family.
