Lifestream for May 10th
Well, ceiling fan = installed!!! All our sitting room is missing now is the new paint job and a couple friends to make coffee drinks for 🙂
Unfortunately, because of the busy day and busy night, no slumber party night tonight and therefore no spn this week at all 🙁
(with our espresso machine not fully functional, our bar is a bit crippled, so guests will have to settle for non-espresso-based drinks…)
Where the frack does the weekend go???!!! Trying to get a few things done so we can have a couple hours to enjoy this room we’ve made…
DAMMIT!! A buckle on my doc marten sandals -my favorite sandals EVER- just snapped in half! I have lots of docs but all the rest are boots!
Wal-mart… Oh goodie… -

Watching BSG 1×04 with @nurseterra – this gets her caught up to what i’ve seen…
BSG 1×05 with @nurseterra – new episode for both of us 🙂
today is one year i’ve been on Twitter… http://tinyurl.com/pwt82w Happy Twitter birthday to me 🙂
(or would it be a Twitterversary?)
This HEN exploit uses an image on the PSP memory stick to crash and then reboot the system in an altered firmware environment that allows homebrew applications to run. Interestingly, the developers have locked out pirates for the moment, stating that their homebrew loader will not allow ISO copies of pirated games or even PSX backups to run. For the moment, only independently coded homebrew applications like Nester J and Guitar Star will work with ChickHEN. […] The program uses a vulnerability in the way the PSP reads TIFF images. By viewing a specifically altered image, the launcher performs by a kernel exploit and reboots into a homebrew enabled enviroment. The ChickHEN remains active until the PSP is fully reset in which case offi…
cautiously excited about this purely software, instantly reversible universal PSP homebrew loader… http://tinyurl.com/dy6trj
It’s OK to copy music from CDs, for example, and place it in an iPod. Yet, it’s illegal to do the same with a DVD. When it comes to the DVD, there’s not even a question of fair use.How can the DVD and CD be treated so differently? Answer: The Digital Millennium Copyright Act, which protects the DVD but not the CD.
Going with @nurseterra to visit a patient in cloudcroft so we can throw a quick nine holes afterward…
Posted @jesusfreakgeek *envious*
Jeez, her patient is like way up in the mountains – i’m surprised the car made it – this is 4×4 territory.. Why would someone live up here??
(I often feel like Dr. Joel Fleishmann in Northern Exposure, Lightning McQueen in Cars, Willie Scott (?) in Indiana Jones atToD, etc….)
@1prdpgn touche… But, what about a sudden craving for, say, a bacon double cheeseburger from Sonic? I just couldn’t make it up here 😛
<—never been camping even once… Or fishing or hunting… Lived in Dallas, L.A., Vegas (baby!), Orlando… total soft-hands city boy 😛
@1prdpgn sure! but, i’m talking about DISC golf, so probably not what you had in mind… i don’t play the ball variety – too expensive…
@1prdpgn (et al.) most "ball golfers" we’ve intro’d to the game agreed pretty much the same game, different equipment, usually less grass 😛
(admittedly, disc golf does’t have the same classiness and sophistication associated with it…) (yet??)
Beautiful day in cloudcroft… And on par so far 🙂 *crossed fingers* the first four holes are pretty easy…
Shared Our disc golf bags
2 over going in to hole 6 🙁 and 8 and 9 are a beeyotch…
EEK! Ok, new course rule: When a snake slithers into the rough you landed in, you are allowed as much walk-in and drop as you want O.O
Well, finished 9 over… Ah well…

Is it just me or are there quite a few more than usual high altitude flights in the sky at any given moment? Noticed last night and today..
I saw three in the sky at once last night just glancing up once and i see what looks like four or five con trails in the sky right now… -

Dreamcast – the undead console? reports that some online retailers are selling brand new Dreamcasts for $99, which is something of a re-match with DC’s original arch-nemesis, the PS2, which was recently reduced to $99… –cc
Going to my storage to get my very nice, very big, very leather couch to put in the sitting room 🙂 [#] -
Lifestream for May 4th
Now to enjoy our improved room with Phantasy Star Portable on our PSPs while we listen to The Stand read by a narrator we still don’t like.. [#]
@upl8 and i only got it to play multi with @nurseterra so i can’t comment on the story mode – but the lil bit i played was underwhelming 😛 [#]
Really thinking of pulling out this ugly light in the sitting room and putting in a ceiling fan… Wondering how difficult that is… [#] -

Sigh… All i want for my birthday is a new hair stylist… [#]
Taking a break from a day of major housework to go to gamestop to get mom the new gameboy DSi… She is trading in a stack of SPs for it… [#]
we put up the new vertical blinds and got my nice wool rug from storage – it matches the new blinds… It’s snazzy in our sitting room 🙂 [#]
Mom has been a GameBoy collector ever since the first one… We are stunned she is willing to part with some – this is a first… [#]
