ok, i agree this seems worth spreading — http://tinyurl.com/qeebvn direct2drive has some top-notch current games on sale for $5 each…
"I started thinking, how was it possible to make quality espresso 50 years ago before these machines? How do people in less afluent countries make espresso at home where they cant afford 500+ in equipment? Â Certainly a larger population in these countries enjoy espresso so anything made at home would have to be decent quality.I imagine they use some combination of a hand grinder and device that requires the water to be heated. Â What are they using? The more I think about it, I probably would enjoy the hands on process and I’m not affraid of a learning curve or the extra steps that might be involved. Â What should I look at?"
dug out sleeved shirts, jeans, dusted off my doc martens – eagerly anticipating the end of months of dressing like a beach bum with taste 🙂
Time for some BioShock 🙂 -
Lifestream for September 21st, 2009
Housework and audiobook on my psp… I’ve been listening to The Great and Secret Show lately – a favorite from my youth…
Found a non-pressurized filter basket at Savers that fits my portafilter 🙂 modified the handle so now it’s not pressurized either 🙂 🙂
so now the leak inside the espresso machine is the only thing keeping it from being much better than it was designed to be…
(now if only i knew someone with the necessary metal-cutting stuff to make it a bottomless portafilter!)
they were just talking about clove cigarettes on NPR… They are now illegal and replaced by mini-cigar equivalents that are terrible…
Now that dinner is done with, i can spend the last couple hours of the evening playing BioShock – @nurseterra bought it for me today 🙂 🙂
I don’t like fps without kb/m but the Ayn Rand-esque story/world it is set in had me sooo hooked after playing the demo so i have high hopes
@Thorobredz WTF?! Dancing With The Stars??? BWAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAA!!!!! and you call ME gay???

Queued Ghostbusters
Queued Poltergeist
despite everyone’s constant hashtag advice, i somehow keep forgetting to be awesome 😛
Any locals know a source to keep an eye on whether balloons are flying or not tommorow morn? When it’s wet, they usually don’t…
Making irish coffees (again) for slumber party night 🙂 i would say it qualifies as a "classic cocktail" http://bit.ly/2X6RO
(originating in the 40s = just barely qualifies as classic cocktail… And, btw, i am using hand-whipped cream and press pot coffee…)
Well, @thorobredz, people who want to enjoy drinks at my coffee bar should probably make it a point to live close enough to stop by 😛
I was just thinking something… What happened to the name shawn/shaun? I can’t remember the last time i met someone with that name… -

Wal-mart checkout line needs to hurry so we can get this stuff to the car before it starts pouring…

The little local hot-air balloon thing is this weekend – gonna take wesley – really losing hope we’ll be able to go to the REAL one in abq..
The albuquerque balloon fiesta is the biggest event of the whole year for me – i’m a total fanatic… So i’m preparing for great sadness…
Just watched someone’s roof shed blow off, across the roof of the house next to it, and looked like it it the car at the next house…

(it happened when i tried to do a ps3 backup to an external hdd and it gave error 8001002A and all i could find was advice to re-format…)
watching 1967’s Barefoot In The Park with @nurseterra (one of our faves) and brushing her hair – she’s had a rough work week already… -

@don_rivers a thrift store chain much better than goodwill… There are 2 in abq but we always hit the one in el paso and get great stuff..
The latest psp firmware update has completely screwed up the rss/podcast receiver app and i am extremely unhappy about it…
