@don_rivers no learning is a waste of time – even if the most you get from it is learning new ways to learn.

@don_rivers e.g., learning bartending/barista’ing taught me how to think in culinary concepts so learning to cook has been much easier

@don_rivers Missed your Dreamcast tweet. If you have the means, use the RGB connection – DRASTIC difference – looks better than Wii!

I pray I continually take very seriously my influence on Wesley and the lifelong affect it will have on him. http://read.ly/Prov22.6.NLT

(Rats. I just used "affect" (verb) when I intended "effect" (noun). Go ahead, everyone, point and laugh 😛 )

It’s always good when the mailman shows up with kreteks 🙂 Now if only UPS would show up with our coffee beans from Intelligentsia.

Hoping disc-free Netflix means it will work on PSP via Remote Play! This indicates it will http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_Play#Usability

Caveat: That info on Wikipedia is the only source I’ve found that says Netflix will work via Remote Play. I’m not convinced yet.

@don_rivers It’s the computer monitor connection – our HDTV has one, not all do. Plus, I’m not sure Dreamcast comes with the cable.

@don_rivers RGB is officially supported, though. I have a box with SVid and RGB, genuine SEGA part# HKT-8100. RGB outputs 720×480 @60Hz

@don_rivers I assume the used part of the screen is vga resolution. There is also a big color improvement over even s-vid.

@don_rivers I’ve got a standard monitor cable between the DC and our tv. So far as I know, it’s also the only non-interlaced option for DC.

@don_rivers You can see the difference for yourself when you come over to play some Space Channel 5 Part 2 🙂

@don_rivers Hmm, yeah I guess so, but may be EU. It’s a copy – people used to send me random stuff back when I ran that Dreamcast group.
twitter (feed #144)
@don_rivers It is in english, though. I had forgotten there was never a US Dreamcast release.
twitter (feed #144)
@don_rivers I wasn’t into games much back then so my legitimate Dreamcast imports are all non-game software (browsers, DreamEye, etc.).
