Sigh… Ugly day outside again. Gloomy weather always manages to seep into me.

@don_rivers we heard it, too. And, yeah, suddenly it’s sunshiny – much better.

WTF? 8 police cars, 3 kinds of fire trucks, ambulance, my block is FILLED with emergency vehicles! I don’t see smoke or anything.

Word is it was a fire. But it was quickly put out. Why it takes this many people is a comment on the way this town works. But I digress.

DAYIM!! Wtf is going on around here? House-shaking boom – kitty freaked out. Followed by a slightly less but still big boom.

I’ve lived here a handful of years off and on so i’m used to sonic booms but double house-shakers at almost 7pm are a bit much.

(Eating a quiet dinner, candles lit, soft piano music playing, KA-BOOOOOM!!! and you wonder if the dishes will stay in the cabinet.)

Podcasts and housework. Wesley is being a bit fussy – won’t leave kitty alone and doesn’t like me telling him to. Just another tuesday.

Ahhhh, made a caramel latte 🙂 Been so focused on shots and the unflavored mini-lattes, this is actually the first "dessert drink" i’ve had.

I do this: Raw, sliced bell peppers in collander – pour pot of freshly boiled pasta over it to drain pasta and heat peppers. Equal parts.

Also yummy: Brush a foccaccia with olive oil+garlic+whatever. Bake 10mins @400, slice into sticks.

Ugh. Almost midnight, have to get up at 5a. This schedule they have @nurseterra on kinda sucks more than a little.

I never really desire coffee first thing in the morn – it usually takes a couple hours or more. Ugh, this morning is an exception.

I’ve learned the Gaggia enough that I’m back to where I left off when my Bodum died – trying to perfect a 5min piccolo latte, incl clean up.

My piccolo latte is 2oz espresso, 2oz steamed milk. I want it to be a slurp-it-down-and-go caffeine fix for those who shun straight espresso

But I kinda’ do it macchiato style for expediency – steam milk in cup, pull shot into cup. No milk pitcher or shot glass to clean.

Wesley doesn’t much care for KMFDM but he really like Nine Inch Nails – the older stuff more so – like pre-Broken.

Well, I finally opened my PS3. There was a half pound of dust but, after I got it all back together, it still doesn’t play discs. Bad.

(The PS3 is the house media server, dvd/blu-ray/cd player, and we even play games once in a while. So, this is a pain for all of us.)
