So, word came down that they’re going back to 12-hour days at Terra’s job starting next week. It’s not all bad but not all good either.

Picked up some decent little 5oz bowl-shaped cups – great for single cappuccinos. Made of cheap (and kinda’ ugly) glass but perfect size.

Ok, good idea or not, @jesusfreakgeek is now @ABQChristopher. I’ve done all I know to make sure you don’t have to change or do anything.

The only available variation on my name was CBCornelius and, blech. But, Albuquerque is where I call home, so, it was the best choice I had.

I read up tips/issues re changing twitter names and therefore immediately made an account with my previous name with a link to my new name.

Undoubtedly there will be weird stuff here and there at first between twitter and interlinked accounts (FB,Flickr,etc.) – i’m working on it.

i DESPISE networking stuff. And I despise dad’s computer. Been on this all day and have no clue what i’m doing. I think it’s just broke.

(Should have known that a day that starts with chocolate milk spilled on my leather couch doesn’t have much hope of turning out good.)

All day working on a computer sucks. I’m almost ready to initiate Plan B: Find a brick wall to bang my head against for awhile.

How cool is it to whip out a cell phone with Netflix app, search for a movie, add to InstantWatch, fire up the PS3 Netflix app and hit play?

(in this case, the "impulse watch" movie was 1981’s Arthur and, sure enough, there it was available for streaming – in HD no less.)

Really think i’m gonna change my twitter name to MY NAME but all variations (but 1) are taken – christopherc, ccornelius, even christopherbc

(i’m not gonna tweet the one available variation yet in case there’s some sort of bot or vile person or something that squats twitter names)

Really been thinking of doing away with all ‘net nicknames and just using some variation on my real name – change my twitter name and all.

Hate to say this, but Ross isn’t what it used to be. Used to be able to get demitasses, cool press pots, and unique kitchen stuff. No more:(

Well, great! The morning starts with BSOD and then won’t boot up. I think it’s the power supply. It’s my late dad’s often errant computer.

Vacuumed/blew out the whole computer, but still – power comes on for a second, then dies. I think I have another power supply somewhere.

A while back, mom, Terra, and I took a few days to watch all five versions of Blade Runner, incl. three in one night! We’re hardcore! 😉

And, speaking of my dad – he’s the one who bought me the Blade Runner brief case bluray uber-boxset thing. It’s ultimate epic awesomeness 🙂

Well, I guess there was a narrative until the cops were killed. Then, it was the horror(?) equivalent of Dave Bowman entering the Monolith.

I expected scary. This was more like seeing Rob Zombie’s reflection in the lens the whole time, winking to us as he references genre flicks.

Did we ever agree how to refer to the decade of 2000 to 2009? To call it "the two thousands" obviously just won’t work.

We have "the eighties", "the thirties", maybe with a "nineteen" in the middle – we’re in "the tens" or "twenty tens", but what of 2000-2009?

Seemed no one was in a hurry to resurrect "aught", so "the twenty ohs"? "Twenty zeros"? (Sub ‘two thousand’ for ‘twenty’ if so inclined).

So great to be not sick! 🙂 Getting a lot done today and listening to the commentary for The Stand mini-series – best King adaptation ever.

Btw, Handbrake is the only (free) software I know that allows you to create multi audio track video files for the PSP or whatever device.

So I use Handbrake to rip DVDs to PSP/iPod/whatever files with multi-audio so you can switch between the original audio or commentary(ies).

Nice! According to @streamingsoon, AMELIE will be available streaming on Netflix soon. Love that one, but uh, does Netflix have subs?

Amelie really needs a Bluray release. It’s a french fantasy/romance sort of thing by the guy who did Delicatessen and City of Lost Children.

Btw, Amelie is a ‘see also’ for Moulin Rouge – takes place in the same areas of Paris and so you see several of the same locations in both.

.@don_rivers ok, I’ve seen talk about Netflix bringing subs someday so I guess they mean optional and the current subs are burned in.

.@don_rivers Terra found a season of CSI had no audio at all, so yeah, seems it’s not all perfected.

Sitting at my bar, hurriedly eating leftover cottage pie. Still a lot of housework to do and running out of time.

Caffeine’s only failing is that though it can speed me up it cannot slow time around me. I hope someone somewhere is working on this.

Well, I got a lot done today – almost caught up from everyone having been sick, one after another (ending with me), that kept me so busy.

Wednesdays are Terra’s night shift day, and I’m always most productive from afternoon on, so Wednesday is my catch-up and big projects day.

(uh, of course, Thursday means back to getting up at 5am, so, we get very little sleep since she doesn’t get home until usually 11pm or so.)

watching Whip It with Terra – I was right when I had an inexplicable compulsion to take to her to see it in the theater. But I didnt! 🙁

I am loving Whip It as much as I did Bring It On. What has happened to me? My taste has been ruined by all those slumber party nights 😛

@Jaeckle I feel your embarassment. Once tore my jeans (in the back!), 3 hours into a 14-hour day – on a project in a town 2 hours from home!

I just ordered a lb of Intelligensia Black Cat Classic Espresso. The best I’ve ever used is the Espresso Italiano from Red Rock in ABQ.

It’s pride. I think my equip and skill level should be producing better coffee. Have I been ignorantly using sub-standard beans all along?
