Ok, twittering from the roof (I can see my house from way up here!). Um, it all looks right to me. Everything’s, uh, wet and dripping.

All 4 pads seem to be wet. So, I was right all along – swamp coolers just suck! Or is there more to it? I’m the computers and coffee guy!

I come back inside and Stephin Merritt (as in The Magnetic Fields) is on the radio (that would be KEXP internet radio). Kewl.

Don’t you love that feeling when you got ALL the housework done and it’s not even noon?! Uh, yeah, I don’t get to have that feeling today 😛

When Wesley slips in his socks in the kitchen and falls and I say "Toe pick!" I know I’ve been watching too many of Terra’s movies with her.

Mm-hm, what was I saying about nurse stories? Terra is on her way home for a shower – says she’ll tell me the story when she gets here.

mmkay, an incident Terra lent a hand to, ended up with someone’s blood all over her. It’s not a job, it’s an adventure. Could’ve been worse.

(btw, as for "could’ve been worse" – I’m not being insensitive – taking care of patients is Terra’s job, taking care of Terra is my job.)

And how seredipitous that I had fresh iced coffee to send her off with. I shouldve known there was a reason I felt compelled to make it 🙂

Soo, can anyone recommend a site they trust to get PSP (internal) parts from? I’ve decided that the problem is the analog nub module itself.

Stayed up way too late watching One Hour Photo on my psp. Robin Williams’ performance is flawless and I usually loathe his movies.

One Hour Photo has many wrongs but the hypnotic atmosphere, stunning cinematography, and Williams’ performance make me forgive the rest.

Sigh. Friday, but not for us. This is day two, still have two more. Then, Mon-Wed off. I hate weird schedules.

We’ve been running errands, now headed home to watch blu-ray of Event Horizon – I’ve only seen it on LaserDisc. Many times – it’s a fave.

@don_rivers I usually had to ask for an actual cup if I wanted one. But, you know i’m always here, eager for company, and have real cups 🙂

@don_rivers I’ve lost touch with the current staff, but back in my day, day side always had Chris, the manager, and I trusted his skills.

@don_rivers I do try to go easy on pop cafes – if they make it RIGHT, people complain – the masses expect the norm set by *$.

@don_rivers I try to give benefit of doubt and subtly let them know that I know the diff so they’ll make it right (if THEY know the diff).

@don_rivers I’ve yet to find a friendly way to let them know. But "I’d like a 6oz cappuccino" might work.

@don_rivers I’ve usually done it by ordering a macchiato – if they don’t ask "cafe macch or latte macch?", they prob only know pop cuisine.

How do you order at a cafe to let them know you don’t want the *$ recipe? They may know the diff but their job is to serve mass expectation.

Lately I’ve been watching movies on my PSP at bedtime again. Tonight is 1991’s Slacker (NOT 2002’s Slackers!) I love it – very soft-spoken.
